Val Kilmer and the New Coke is a five-piece band that has made people in the Kootenays grow a special place in their hearts for the 80s. Based out of Nelson, the band has relentlessly toured ski towns and major cities all over BC and Alberta since 2010.

It started out as a teeny tiny brainchild of some dude with really big hair, taking sweet 80s tunes and rocking them out with a punk-rock edge. The synths and keyboards soon took over, and the songs swung back to their original new wave glory.

There are many 80s bands out there, but none do it quite like Kilmer. The band not only slays the 80s cheese but delivers it with a ridiculous commentary that will leave you speechless, flattered, slightly offended, and bursting into laughter at the same time.
